Residential, Community & Offices for KO

This multi-use development for Kainga Ora included three, six storey buildings, comprising 85 residential units, a community centre, and office space for the client.

The focus for the buildings as on buildability, cost effectiveness, and the need for a robust form of construction to suit the client’s needs as a long-term owner.  Precast concrete was adopted for the floors and shell of the buildings.

Early discussions with the architect and careful arrangement of the structure produced a structural arrangement that suited the various uses for the building while avoiding complexity in the build.
